Our Department

We study how plants and microbes survive a changing world - decoding the signals, rhythms, and molecular machinery behind their adaptation to environmental stress.

We study the biotic and abiotic stresses that shape life, from pathogens and symbionts to temperature, salinity, and oxidative stress, with particular strengths in stress signaling, iron homeostasis, biological rhythms, microbial ecology, and the machinery of photosynthesis
